Towels are one of our daily necessities. After washing our face, we will use a towel to wipe our face, we will wipe our hair with a towel, and we will wipe our body with a towel after the shower. The towel we just bought is very soft and fresh. But after a period of use, there will be a peculiar smell. So why does the towel smell? Because the surface of the towel will adhere to a large number of secretions such as sweat and tears during our use, if it is not ventilated for a long time, it will produce a peculiar smell.
How do we remove the odor from the towel? Under normal circumstances, we can:
1. Add a bit of alkali to the water and boil it. Then the sun. Disinfect and remove odors.
2. Put the rice water and towel into the pot and cook, so that the towel will have a faint fragrance of rice.
3. Put the towel in white vinegar and soak. Note: The ratio of vinegar to water is 4:1. You can use a plastic bottle to measure it. After soaking for 15 minutes, wash it again with detergent or soap.
4. To remove the peculiar smell of the towel, you can scrub with an appropriate amount of saltwater, scald it with hot water, and finally rinse it with clean water. Not only can the towel restore its original color, but the strange smell can also be eliminated.
For towels, which are fiber fabrics, it will be difficult to remove the bacteria deep into the fiber gaps after a long time of use. Cleaning, drying, high-temperature cooking, and other methods can only control the number of bacteria in a short time, and cannot permanently remove the bacteria. Long-term use of old towels will create opportunities for bacterial invasion. Therefore, it is best to change to a new towel in about three months.
